I grew up in the fields of Oklahoma and Arkansas, where hard work wasn't something you talked about—it was simply part of everyday life. Long days outdoors taught me the value of craftsmanship, problem-solving, and taking pride in building things that last. Those lessons have stayed with me throughout my career and continue to shape how I lead every project today.
My path into construction wasn't traditional, and I believe that's one of my greatest strengths. I began my professional career working with nonprofit zoos, where I quickly learned that if you wanted something, you often had to design it, build it, or figure out how to make it happen yourself. That mindset led me to earn a degree in biology and build a successful career conducting clinical research in cancer, COVID-19, and stroke studies.
Research taught me to think systematically, solve complex problems, manage details with precision, and make decisions based on evidence—not assumptions. Those same skills now guide every phase of the construction process, from design development and budgeting to project management and quality control.
Although I enjoyed my years in research, building has always been where I felt most at home.
Over the past 17 years in residential construction and 10 years as a licensed contractor, I've had the opportunity to learn from exceptional builders, craftsmen, designers, and tradespeople. Each project has expanded my knowledge of construction methods, materials, and the importance of delivering a home that's not only beautiful but built with integrity behind the walls.
I founded Riveting Design & Build because I believed homeowners deserved a better experience.
Building or remodeling your home shouldn't feel chaotic, stressful, or uncertain. It should be an organized, transparent, and enjoyable process where you feel informed, respected, and confident every step of the way. My goal is to remove the uncertainty that so often surrounds construction while delivering exceptional craftsmanship and thoughtful design.
As a woman leading a construction company, I bring a perspective that many clients find refreshing. I believe strength and professionalism aren't measured by volume or ego, but by preparation, communication, attention to detail, and consistently delivering on commitments. I lead with confidence, collaborate with highly skilled tradespeople, and maintain high standards because that's what every client deserves.

We believe the best projects are built through teamwork, mutual respect, and open communication. One of my favorite movies is Under the Tuscan Sun, and I've always admired the sense of community that develops as people come together to create something meaningful. That's the kind of atmosphere we strive to create on every jobsite. We believe our clients should feel like valued partners throughout the process, not just another project on a schedule.

I stay current with building science, design trends, evolving building codes, innovative products, and proven construction techniques to ensure every project benefits from the latest advancements in our industry. Through continuing education and strong relationships with trusted suppliers and trade professionals, we carefully select materials and methods that perform well in Southern Utah's unique climate while delivering lasting beauty and value.
